Rotary Club Atlanta Brasil Brings Cultures Together Through FIFA World Cup Fellowship

On July 5, 2026, the Rotary Club Atlanta Brasil transformed the excitement of the 2026 FIFA

World Cup into an opportunity for fellowship, cultural connection, and community engagement.

Rotarians, prospective members, friends, families, and guests from diverse cultural

backgrounds gathered in Smyrna to cheer for Brazil, share food, celebrate friendship, and

experience the spirit of Rotary in a fun and welcoming environment. Dressed in Brazil’s iconic

green, yellow, and blue, guests filled the room with energy as children and adults came together

around a shared love of soccer and community.

“This event reflected the kind of club we are building: international, welcoming, joyful, and united

through service,” said Club President Josiane Carolino. “Our Brazilian roots are an important

part of our story, but our vision is much bigger. We want to create a space where people from

many cultures can build friendships, serve together, and feel that they belong.”

The gathering also demonstrated the power of family-friendly fellowship. Children joined the

celebration alongside parents and friends, reinforcing the club’s commitment to building

community across generations. Guests who may not have encountered Rotary through a

traditional club meeting were able to connect naturally with members and learn more about the

organization through personal relationships.

As Atlanta welcomes the world during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Rotary Club Atlanta Brasil

sees a unique opportunity to use the global language of soccer to expand Rotary’s reach,

strengthen cross-cultural connections, and introduce new people to service and fellowship.

The July 5 gathering was a vibrant reminder that Rotary can bring people together in many

ways—through service projects, leadership, friendship, cultural celebration, and sometimes

simply by cheering together.
